The pansat 9200 high definition receiver was recalled due to eSATA port failure for personal video recording (PVR)
Information on how to fix this yourself are cropping up over the free to air forums. The problem is,one misstep and you have a doorstop on your hands(or as mentioned in the document,a $200 repair bill). Its highly recommended to send your pansat 9200hd (if dated below in the document) to Panarex Electronics and let them perform the repair.Reports are being posted with claims from those who have e-mailed Panarex Electronics, that the repair/recall will be free of charge but the customer will have to pay to ship it to Panarex, but that they will flip the bill for return shipping.

Recommendation
If these instruction are too difficult for you to follow or you can not find a qualified installer to make the modification, please send the whole Unit back to the Panarex Service Department because you will be charged to have the PCB board replaced if you make a severe damage mistake. The fee will be based on the actual price of the board. (Around $200.00)
1. Find and hire an excellent qualified technician nearest to your location.
2. Desolder & remove the part TR(Q3) quickly. (Not more than 2~3 seconds to avoid PCB pattern damage)
3. Clean the main PCB board Q3 TR area and removed TR legs and solder again with new direction
as per the attached photo. (Should you need new TR, contact the Panarex Service Dept to request it)
4. You need to check the C178 leg (or TR bare) measures 1.8V DC.

Team Captain
Many of the things listed doesn’t mean captains do not currently have these features/options,but also a mixed list of the features/options that will be fixed to simply work better.
The captains are becoming very well known and respected in the fta community as of late with the super fast file support along with great iks support for those who have the dongles(internet adapters). With these additions, along with their already high quality hardware and superior pictuer quality, but still lower priced Korean made systems, captains are becoming a popular choice for the fta tester.Have you tried a captain yet?
V2group step up iks to new levels.
Yesterday the coding team for neosat ipro plus/2000/pro and also neusat shake the internet key sharing system we all know as iks. With the introduction of a new hybrid iks system they nick name HIKS.With this advanced iks system, many people are reporting it as having all channels along with extremely fast channel changes as many claim “as fast as cardless”.
here are what many are saying about this advanced iks system:
“the effort and dedication to make this box work is very much appreciated…it’s really worth the wait!!!”
“BEV is fully up and going strong no loss of anything and no freezing so far”
“YES!!!! All channels are up. Fast changing in the channels. all adultd and locals are up.. Thet day finally came.”
“it’s working flawlessly.No freezing. Good job V2″
“Way to go v2. It was a tough roller coaster ride but well worth all your hard work. I lift a glass to v2″
“Been running so smooth here. I have not had 1 hiccup. Not joking. Have had the TV on in here since 8am est. Been watching BEV 1 hr staright now.”
“Awesome!! Working great with both providers wide open. A HUGE Thank You to V2 and Dr.T. for all the countless hours that you guys put into making us all happy, and of course, HIKS.”
For those that don’t know,v2neo and Dr.T(v2group) claim to be the original iks creators for the older unit, the neosat ipro 1000.With this advanced team of coders on your side for the neosat ipro plus/2000,the future is looking bright. Many countless hours waiting by many for this new HIKS system to come.Though still in BETA,this is a major brake through in iks technology. As of now,the v2group claim this is only for the unit with built in Ethernet port, the IPRO plus and IPRO 2000 older model.Once they work out the dongle for this new HIKS system, not only will the PRO be up but also the nuesat 6000/6000 premium and the hd model 9000 with said by v2neo as using the same dongle the PRO model uses. This is said to take a little while, with no certain public release date.v2neo did say however “eta 1 month” but followed with a “lol”,and said he couldn’t be to specific about this. Not to worry however, PRO users will still receive files that will work for standard iks system as always until the dongle files for HIKS is ready,so your not left out.
The future of neosat ipro plus/2000/pro along with all nuesat models seems to be very bright,so keep your eyes on them,or if you already run a neo, enjoy the progress.
