The wireless serial adapter attaches to the Sonysat DSR4000-5000 making a Class 1 Bluetooth wireless connection, capable of transmitting and updating the firmware up to 300 meters (If paired with similar module). If paired with any other Bluetooth device which has a range up to 100 meters, you will get the effective range of 100 meters.

Also can be used via IKS (Internet Key Service) using the same internet connection as your home computer.
You can also connect a RJ45 to DB9 male to your X1-dongle
